Het grootste areaal biologische landbouw bevindt zich in de provincies Flevoland, Gelderland en Drenthe.
Most of the hectares of organic farming are situated in the provinces of Flevoland, Gelderland and Drenthe.

Gemiddelde oppervlakte per bedrijf: 42 hectare; dat is circa 60% groter dan een gemiddeld landbouwbedrijf.
Average area by holding: 42 hectare; that’s about 60% bigger than an average holding.

Consumentenbestedingen aan biologische voeding: 752 miljoen euro
Consumer expenditures of organic food: 752 million euro.

De meeste biologische producten worden verkocht door de supermarkten (45%) en de speciaalzaak (35%).
